More Than a School β A Family
Hope of Eritrea School is a warm, values-centred learning community nestled in Rubaga, Kampala. Founded on the belief that every child deserves a quality education rooted in character, integrity, and hope, we serve families from across Uganda and the Eritrean diaspora.
We are more than classrooms and curricula β we are a place where children are known by name, celebrated for their uniqueness, and challenged to grow into confident, compassionate leaders. From Nursery through A-Level, every stage of our school is designed with the whole child in mind.

Where It All Began
Hope of Eritrea School was born from a simple but powerful conviction: that children of the Eritrean diaspora in Uganda β and all families who seek it β deserve a school that feels like home while preparing them for the world.
What began as a small, community-driven initiative has grown into a fully-fledged institution offering education from Early Childhood through A-Level. Over the years we have welcomed hundreds of students, built a dedicated faculty, and woven ourselves into the fabric of Rubaga, Kampala.
Today, Hope of Eritrea School stands as a testament to what a community can build when it invests in its children. Our graduates go on to universities, professions, and lives of purpose β carrying with them the values and skills we helped them develop.
School established by community founders with a vision to provide quality education rooted in hope and character.
Expanded to include Primary and O-Level sections, welcoming students from across Uganda and the Eritrean diaspora.
Launched Upper Secondary programme with dedicated university counselling, achieving a 95% acceptance rate.
500+ students, 35+ staff, and a thriving, award-winning school community in Rubaga, Kampala.
